#2: Be vegetarian for a month


Not only did I survive, but I thrived for 47 days with no meat, officially marking #2: Be vegetarian for a month off my 30 before 30 list.

I cooked more, I ate healthier (actually eating enough fruit and veg) and overall I’ve felt much better. In fact, I will probably keep my diet predominately vegetarian. The closest call with breaking my commitment came in Costa Rica, but that aside, it was much easier than I expected.

And another goal bites the dust…



  1. I need to do this for a month. Even for a week would be good.

      I honestly didn’t think I would be able to stick to the goal when I put it on my list, but I am SO glad I did! You should definitely give it a shot 🙂

  2. hmmm I love my meat just too much. Great for keeping it up for so long. What i really need to do is eat more healthy. Last year my wife wanted to go on a diet and of course I got dragged in. She did the southbeach. We both lost alot of weight, but while i was on it I fellltttt Great!!! I need to get back in the groove.

  3. I might be able to be a vegetarian for a couple weeks, but I would only do so if I allowed myself to eat pizza at least 4 times per week. But if I eat pizza 4 times per week, I would probably gain weight. Forget it, no vegetarian for me.
