Not all who wander are lost....
Similar to my post on Friday, this is likely to be one of the last financial summaries for awhile. I think I would like to keep track of my budget, but we will see what happens when I arrive and settle into my life overseas!

Blew it. Bought a couple backpacks and some necessary items for the big move.
Net worth: $11,574.91 (down 3.05% from June)
It’s incredibly hard to believe that it’s already July. Where has time gone?! I spent a little too much time in the sun yesterday and today I’m off to the wonderful Pacific northwest. I can’t wait to get out of this heat!

Didn’t track it again because of all the travelling I did. Crappy excuse, but it’s true.
Net worth: $18,315.65 (up 11.31% from May)
My net worth FINALLY started turning around and had a positive increase. Sometimes I still get frustrated that it is so low (shouldn’t it be higher by now??) I look at how far it’s come in the past year. Up $12k over the past 12 months and I realize that’s not too bad!!
I am late late late this month for the update. I spent the first 10 days of June travelling and away at a conference. It was fun, but I haven’t been so happy to be home in a long time!

Again, I totally failed at keeping up with my budget, however I know that I came out positive. Always a good thing 
Net worth: $16,454.16 (down 10.00% from April)
Another depressing month on the net worth and saving money front, but at least my debt dropped by almost 10%. Just gotta keep on keeping on!
So April ended up being a little depressing as far as financials go. The major events were that I moved (bye bye moving fund!) and I went to both the dentist and the optometrist (huge hit on cc#1). Oh and I went skydiving. Everything else was mostly fine.

My budget is so shot I don’t even want to look at it again. I know denial is bad, but I know where things screwed up (doctors) and it’ll be better in May. I guarantee it!
Net worth: $18,282.32 (down 10.10% from March)
I’d be upset about the decrease, but I needed to see the doctors. Oh well, stay tuned to see how May ends up!
The good news about March is that my actual debt is down to $9,978.81 as of April 1, 2012 so I am officially below $10,000! PARTY TIME!
That being said, I took a trip to Costa Rica that ended up being a bit more expensive than I thought it’d be (plus loss of pay for the days I took off), so I’ll end up hurting a little this month. But all is well overall.

I did pretty well this month on sticking to my budget since I did NOT include the bulk of my trip expenses. I’m going to try to detail those best I can in a later post.
Need: over $126.62
Well I dropped this category down by $100 this month and clearly blew past that. Whoops. I didn’t realize how long I’d been skimping on home and personal care products that I needed to stock back up on some things.
Save: $0
I put almost everything on hold again this month to put it toward debt/trip stuff. However, my new favorite tool is ImpulseSave that allows me to actually save the $5 extra I have by not stopping at Starbucks instead of just saying that I’m saving it. I saved almost $100 this month which will be nice to snowflake toward my debt.
Want: over $88.79
Oh well, also could have been much worse. It has some travel expenses and yoga that totally shot this, but it will be under control next month. It has to be.
Net worth: $14,153.89 (up 3.01% from February)
I think I did okay overall. Not the best month ever but certainly better than my net worth going negative!
